Clean Water Act

This volume from the American Bar Association provides an introduction to the Clean Water Act. The book begins with a discussion of the history of the CWA and its amendments and continues by discussing general prohibitions on discharges, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, regulations for publicly owned treatment works, wetlands regulation, wet-weather discharges and hazardous substances spills. The appendices contain an acronym list, frequently asked questions about the CWA, a listing of the act’s subchapters, and the part of the code of federal regulations on water quality regulations.
