This monograph examines legal, clinical, social, and psychological research on end-of-life-decision-making. Topics covered include do-not-resuscitate orders, living wills, surrogate decision making, the effect of depression and pain on requests for physician-assisted suicide, and advice for assessing the decision-making abilities of patients.
