Recommended Titles and Treatises
To help provide access to the Texas State Law Library's legal resources, the reference librarians have selected the most noteworthy titles in our collection and arranged them here by subject. The titles listed for each subject feature a brief summary written by a reference librarian, and each subject's titles are divided into those that are specific to Texas law and those that aren't.

Principles of the law, the American Law Institute, aggregate litigation
305 pages. No updates available.
The American Law Institute is an independent body that works “to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law”. These efforts to improve the law involve extensive study and discussion of how the law could be improved. When the ALI completes the study, its recommendations are published in the Principles of the Law. This volume “seeks to identify techniques that promote the efficiency and efficacy of aggregate lawsuits as tool for enforcing valid laws”.
