Constitutional Law
Double jeopardy: a reference guide to the United States Constitution
268 pages. No updates available.
This book, written by one of the foremost authorities on double jeopardy and part of a series on Constitutional Law, takes a very close look at the Double Jeopardy Clause found in the Fifth Amendment. While the issue of not being tried twice for the same offense seems simple at first, this books analyzes the fringe cases where such a determination is not so easy to make. The author first provides a solid history and explanation of the idea of "double jeopardy" before moving on to a more detailed analysis of cases that require scrutiny. Includes a table of cited cases.
