Written for new labor and employment lawyers, this guide endeavors to provide direction on basic labor and employment assignments. Divided into three parts, the first section focuses on “preliminary matters in employment case” including investigations, demand and response letters, and administrative agencies. The second section covers litigation and specific chapters discusses case management, telling a persuasive story, pleadings, discovery motion practice, trials, and alternative dispute resolution. The third section covers employment counseling and focuses on hiring, termination, discrimination and harassment, leaves of absence, disability, wages and hours, and trade secrets.
