To help provide access to the Texas State Law Library's legal resources, the reference librarians have selected the most noteworthy titles in our collection and arranged them here by subject. The titles listed for each subject feature a brief summary written by a reference librarian, and each subject's titles are divided into those that are specific to Texas law and those that aren't.

As same-sex marriage is available in several U.S. States and Canada, this book tries to answer questions for same-sex couples. Some of the issues addressed are your state's rules about same-sex partnerships, whether your marriage will be recognized in other states, how marriage will affect you if have children, whether or not a will or living trust is needed and other legal issues. This edition also contains updated laws for all states. The appendix also includes a relationship recognition chart, which shows states with some form of recognition for same-sex couples along with some of the laws for that state.
