For many years Saltzburg has authored a column on trial tactics in the ABA Criminal Justice Magazine. This book is an updated compilation of his analyses, tips and cautions for defense counsel, prosecutors and judges. Saltzburg draws on actual witness examinations to illustrate his discussions. While generally written for criminal trials, he notes that many of the articles are equally applicable to civil trials.
