National Judicial College's benchbook on capital punishment provides judges with a host of information on all aspects of the death penalty process. Topics range from dealing with media in the courtroom to case management and include discussions of the unique issues presented to the judiciary in pretrial, trial, and postconviction phases. Sample forms and model orders and remarks are provided as are a series of checklists to aid judges in properly managing workflow and process when presiding over such austere cases.
