Recommended Titles and Treatises
To help provide access to the Texas State Law Library's legal resources, the reference librarians have selected the most noteworthy titles in our collection and arranged them here by subject. The titles listed for each subject feature a brief summary written by a reference librarian, and each subject's titles are divided into those that are specific to Texas law and those that aren't.

This manual provides a basic overview of election law in the United States, with its primary focus on state election law. Various substantive issues in election law that are most likely to be litigated are presented. Some of the issues covered are federal statutes and constitutional provisions that affect state and local election practices; regulation of the various actors in the election process (candidates, parties and voters); state election administration; legal issues raised by ballot measures; and legal issues that arise on Election Day.
