Westlaw Patron Access

Provides on-site patrons with quick and easy access to Federal and all states statutory, regulatory, and case law materials through Westlaw.

Training Sessions

The State Law Library hosts Westlaw training the third Wednesday of each month. The training is provided by a Westlaw Representative and is worth 1 Hour of Continuing Legal Education Credit. Please check the library’s homepage or contact the library for the session topics as they will vary.

The training sessions run from noon to 1 pm in the library’s conference room. Sessions are free but space is limited to 15 participants. Registration begins one week before each session. You can sign up by calling the library at 512-463-1722 or in person at the circulation desk.

Shepards on Lexis.com

Allows patrons to quickly Shepardize cases online.

LegalTrac

Offers indexing of major law reviews, legal newspapers, specialty law publications, bar association journals and law-related articles from general interest publications.

Loislaw

Loislaw includes several sources for primary law including cases, statutes and acts, administrative rules and regulations, and court rules. Loislaw also has online treatise libraries.
